The murder in November of a 16-year-old student at Woodbridge High School prompted local authorities to launch the operation, according to WTTG-TV Channel 5.
The task force also seized narcotics used by young people in the region, including marijuana, marijuana “wax,” mushrooms and prescription medications, according to media reports. It executed search warrants at four locations - in Manassas, Woodbridge, Gainesville and Bristow.
The goal of the operation was to deter drug use among teens and young adults, Prince William police said. When an arrest was made, those who sought help for drug use or addiction issues were provided with the necessary resources.
