Woman Carjacked, Abducted Outside Woodbridge Apartment: Police

Police said a man abducted a woman in Woodbridge and drove her to Chesapeake before abandoning her at a restaurant and stealing her car.

DALE CITY, VA — A woman was carjacked and abducted outside of her home in Dale City on Saturday, Aug. 7. The suspect, who abandoned the woman at a restaurant in Chesapeake and stole her car, is still at large, according to the Prince William County Police Department.

The incident was first reported to police around 4 a.m. on Saturday. The 18-year-old victim was abducted outside of her apartment in Woodbridge earlier in the day.

Authorities said the woman arrived at her apartment and was unloading groceries from her car when she was approached by an unknown man. The man was armed and forced the victim into the passenger seat of the car, according to the police report. The man then climbed into the driver's seat.

The man then drove the vehicle southbound on I-95, police said. He stopped the car once at an unknown location to get gas before continuing towards Chesapeake.

When they arrived in Chesapeake, the man dropped the victim off at a restaurant, police said. He then fled the area in the victim's car.

The car is described as a red 2011 Nissan Sentra. It has Virginia license plates "UBD-3429."

Authorities noted that the victim was not injured or otherwise threatened during the encounter. When she was in Chesapeake, the victim contacted law enforcement to report the incident.

The carjacker is described as a Black man of an unknown age. He is about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and has a thin build. He also had a light complexion and curly brown hair. At the time of the abduction, he was wearing a black shirt, black pants, white shoes, and an orange mask.
