Woodbridge Woman Arrested for Felony Child Neglect

Disabled teen in her care was living in unsanitary conditions: Prince William County police.

A Woodbridge woman has been charged with felony child neglect after police found that a physically disabled teenager in her care was living in unsanitary conditions.

Dena Lanay Arnold, 38, of the 14400 block of Village Drive, was arrested Friday evening and is being held without bond in the Prince William-Manassas regional jail, according to a Prince William County police report. Her court date is pending, the police said,

Police officers went to Arnold’s residence for a welfare check at 6:55 p.m. Friday after a concerned caller contacted the police about the disabled teen, a 17-year-old male juvenile. The officers discovered feces in the home and unsafe conditions, the police report said.

The officers notified Child Protective Services, who also responded to the home. The victim was released to the custody of another family member.
