3. Tulalip man gets 17-year federal prison sentence for 2022 shooting (heraldnet.com) — In a case followed closely around Everett and Tulalip, a Tulalip man has been sentenced to 17 years in federal prison for fatally shooting a friend during an argument at his home in 2022. Prosecutors say he used a homemade firearm despite prior felony convictions and kept multiple ghost guns, leading to additional weapons-related charges resolved in a plea deal.
   

4. Two men charged after Washington teen reported missing found in North Dakota (valleynewslive.com) — A 15-year-old girl reported missing from Everett was found safe in a North Dakota apartment after Everett police helped track her phone to the small town of Mott. Two men now face felony charges including corruption or solicitation of minors and harboring a runaway, after investigators say they arranged her bus trip and provided alcohol and drugs.
