• Everett proposes changes to process of dividing land (heraldnet.com) — Everett officials are weighing major changes to how property owners can split lots, potentially allowing parcels as small as 2,000 square feet and easing requirements for utilities and landscaping before sale. A public hearing is set for Wednesday, with a final council vote expected Oct. 14 after state review, changes that could affect housing options and neighborhood development across the city. 
• Fischer leads Prospect Team of the Week for fifth time in final 2026 edition (mlb.com) — Everett baseball fans can celebrate pitcher Casey Hintz, who just earned Prospect Team of the Week honors after tossing three scoreless innings with four strikeouts for the AquaSox.
