• Tacoma set to lose another Fred Meyer, this time in West End shopping center (thenewstribune.com) — Fred Meyer plans to close its James Center store in Tacoma, its second Tacoma shutdown in two years, citing lease issues and rising rental costs. For Gig Harbor shoppers, the Fred Meyer Marketplace on Point Fosdick Drive remains open across the Narrows, alongside other nearby Fred Meyer and QFC locations serving the region.
