CenturyLink Field Is Going Cashless For All Events

Those who do not wish to use their credit or debit card at the stadium can load cash onto a prepaid card at a kiosk.

SEATTLE, WA — CenturyLink Field is going cashless for all events, beginning with the Seattle Dragons' home opener Saturday afternoon. All future events at the stadium, event center, and WAMU Theater will accept credit and debit cards only. In a news release, CenturyLink called the move part of an "effort to boost guest experience," by speeding up transactions and lines.

According to CenturyLink, visitors who do not wish to use their debit or credit cards can find 10 kiosks throughout the stadium that will allow them to load any amount of cash onto a prepaid card. The stadium said the prepaid cards can also be used anywhere major credit cards are accepted.

"Depending on the event, credit or debit cards are already being used for approximately 75% of all concessions transactions and 90% for retail purchases, so we are confident this will be a seamless transition," said David Young, General Manager at CenturyLink Field.
