SEATTLE, WA — A man is in police custody after driving into a crowd of protesters gathered in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood Sunday night. Witness videos show the man exiting the car and brandishing a pistol, before eventually shooting a protester in the arm.

Footage taken by Chase Burns with The Stranger shows the man jumping out of his car, pistol in hand, and walking into the crowd.

Shortly after, one of the demonstrators was shot. This footage taken right after the attack purportedly shows the victim awake and alert, with an obvious wound to his arm. In the video, the man says he had punched the driver in an attempt to shop him, and the driver retaliated by shooting him.
