Show Up Seattle day of service seeks volunteers for citywide projects (komonews.com) — Later this month, Seattle residents are invited to join the annual Show Up, Seattle Day of Service, with projects planned across neighborhoods from litter pickup to park restoration. You can sign up online, see a map of volunteer sites, and work alongside staff from city departments. Organizers hope thousands will participate to strengthen community connections while improving shared spaces.
   

2. Seattle veteran buys billboard demanding action on Aurora Ave crime (fox13seattle.com) — An 86-year-old Seattle veteran spent a month of Social Security benefits on a bluntly worded billboard demanding action on crime along Aurora Avenue, reflecting deep neighborhood frustration. Residents recently pressed Mayor Katie Wilson about shootings, barriers, and safety along the corridor, while city leaders say improving public safety will require coordinated work across multiple agencies.
   

3. Two arrested after stolen Mercedes found in Ballard (kiro7.com) — Seattle police arrested a man and woman after spotting a stolen Mercedes in Ballard, later finding it abandoned in the West Woodland neighborhood with drugs, multiple people's credit cards, and a police-style Taser inside. The woman, found carrying a ghost gun, was released after reporting an assault, while the man faces potential charges for eluding police, unlawful firearm possession, and outstanding warrants.
   

4. Man hospitalized after stabbing at Roxhill Park in West Seattle (kiro7.com) — A 20-year-old man was stabbed near the soccer field at Roxhill Park in West Seattle on Saturday evening and taken to Harborview Medical Center, though his condition isn't yet known. Seattle police say the victim doesn't know who attacked him, and homicide and assault detectives are now investigating. Anyone with information is urged to contact Seattle police.
   

5. brazilian 12 heading for seattle for the first time (fieldgulls.com) — A visiting Seahawks fan from Brazil is planning a first-ever trip to Seattle next December and is asking locals for advice. They want tips on the smartest way to buy Seahawks home-game tickets, which neighborhoods are best for staying with easy access to downtown and the stadium, and any must-do, especially Seahawks-related, experiences around the city.
