City leaders say the project marks one of the brightest economic moments in decades, giving residents more reasons to shop, dine, and stay in the Kanawha Valley. 
• Governor announces first Rural Health Transformation Program awards (wvnews.com) — West Virginia leaders in Charleston have awarded nearly $2.4 million to expand worksite clinics and employer-based healthcare, including more than $600,000 for Charleston Area Medical Center/Vandalia Health. The Rural Health Transformation Program aims to bring preventive care, screenings, and chronic disease management directly to workplaces. Officials say the effort should improve health outcomes and keep more West Virginians on the job statewide.
• Virtual threats evolve as AI related scare alerts West Virginia Law enforcement (wchstv.com) — Law enforcement officials in Charleston are warning that AI-driven hoaxes and virtual threats, like the recent "Cat in the Hat" social media scare, are complicating school and police responses across West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky. Experts say swatting and false emergency reports can bring serious prison time and urge better cyber hygiene. Schools are encouraged to add swatting drills so students and staff know how to respond safely.
