1. Detroit man sentenced to 11 years in Huntington-area drug trafficking case (wvnews.com) — A Detroit man has been sentenced to 11 years in federal prison for helping traffic large amounts of meth and fentanyl into the Huntington area, including drugs stored at a trailer in the city. Prosecutors say he and several co-defendants moved kilos of narcotics before being arrested, and federal authorities credit Huntington and regional law enforcement for dismantling the operation.

2. WSAZ obtains new documents, proposed map released for Flock security technology (wsaz.com) — Huntington City Council has approved a five-year, $2.2 million contract for Flock Safety technology, bringing dozens of license plate readers, cameras, drones, and gunshot detectors to neighborhoods across the city. Newly obtained documents and a proposed camera map show where devices may go as Mayor Patrick Farrell and Huntington Police develop policies, training, and oversight in the coming weeks.

5. West Virginia man pleads guilty to federal drug charge involving meth (wvnstv.com) — A Huntington man has pleaded guilty in federal court to selling meth from a local address, in a case investigated by the Huntington Violent Crime and Drug Task Force. He faces up to 20 years in prison and a possible $1 million fine when he’s sentenced in October. Federal prosecutors say the sale involved about 27 grams of meth to a confidential informant.
