WVSOM honors graduating master's degree class in first standalone ceremony (parsonsadvocate.com) — Lewisburg residents can celebrate that WVSOM just held its first standalone graduation ceremony for students in its growing Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences program. Forty-four graduates, including 30 West Virginians, were honored on campus with encouraging messages about academic rigor, personal growth, and future careers in health care. The program also offers a pathway into WVSOM’s D.O. program for top performers.

3. Create custom summery jewelry with a workshop from Carnegie Hall! (wvnstv.com) — If you’re in or near Lewisburg and love crafts, Carnegie Hall is hosting a beginner‑friendly jewelry workshop on June 6, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants ages 12 and up can design custom earrings, bracelets, or necklaces using colorful beads, with class fees starting at $25 plus materials at 611 Church Street.

4. Deeds fends off primary challenge in race with statewide political implications (woay.com) — Lewisburg residents may recognize local pastor Jonathan Comer, who lost his Republican primary challenge to incumbent Sen. Vince Deeds in the District 10 race. Deeds will now face Democrat Kent Gilkerson in November, after a contest that drew high-profile endorsements from both Governor Patrick Morrisey and Senator Shelley Moore Capito and highlighted internal GOP divisions over conservative priorities.
