ā¢ Duncan, Sylvia Melvin (nrvnews.com) ā Loved ones in Giles County are honoring Sylvia Melvin Duncan, with a celebration of life Thursday, April 30 at Castle Rock Baptist Church in Pembroke, followed by a graveside service at Birchlawn Memorial Gardens in Pearisburg. The family, served by Givens Funeral Home in Pearisburg, invites friends to remember her lifelong love of golf, bowling, and church community.

ā¢ Mathena, Brenda White (nrvnews.com) ā Family and friends in Pearisburg and across the New River Valley are remembering Brenda Sue White Mathena, who was born in Pearisburg and later lived in Dublin. Visitation and funeral services are set for Monday, May 4 at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home in White Gate, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens and memorial donations suggested to Radford Health & Rehab Center. Ā Ā Ā
