• Proposed $628.7 Million Wisconsin Corrections Plan Sets Scope for Facilities Work (correctionalnews.com) — A new $628.7 million state corrections proposal would keep Green Bay Correctional Institution operating until at least 2031, then fund its closure, staff retention, and eventual property sale. The plan, presented in Allouez by Rep. Benjamin Franklin after negotiations with state leaders, also pours hundreds of millions into rebuilding or expanding other Wisconsin prisons while adding about 530 beds statewide.
