Free Fathers’ Day Tours at Octagon House

The Octagon House Museum is offering free tours for fathers on Father's Day on Sunday, June 19th from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. Families are encouraged to attend and fathers will be admitted free when accompanied by a child of any age.

This year’s museum theme of the “Civil War Revisited” is sure to please Dad. The tour also includes the Garden House Museum which features a general store, medical, and railroad display, as well as a large collection of farming tools, blacksmith equipment, and carpentry tools.

After the tour, join us on the lawn for complimentary homemade, hand-cranked, ice cream. This cold and creamy treat brings back memories of childhood days for many fathers and grandfathers; and the children can enjoy taking a turn churning the ice cream and asking “Is it done yet?”
