Grab & Go Kids Planner: This Week's Arctic Thrills
A new Wednesday feature for moms and families, providing tips about when to grab the kids and where to go!
Hudson Patch has assembled a weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities and new places to try out with the kids both locally and within sturdy stone’s throw.
Look for the Grab & Go each Wednesday, and help us build the planner with your own suggestions and tips - just add them to the comment box. Patch wants to hear from you!
The family’s best bets of the week include the sports, fairy tales and a little face time with the swans.
HUDSON HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETICS
Where/When: On Thursday, Feb. 10: Gymnastics at at 6:30 p.m., Boys Hockey at the at 7 p.m., Girls Basketball at at 7:30 p.m.
Why Go: Instill a little inspiration into your young athletes at home as the winter sport seasons reach their peaks.
SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS
Where/When: on Friday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m., Saturday Feb. 12 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 13 at 2 p.m.
Why Go: It’s a fairytale classic. How can you not love hard working dwarfs?
Price: $15 for children 4-12 years, $18 for seniors and students 13+ with a current ID, $20 Adults, not recommended for children under the age of 4
TRUMPETER SWAN WALK
Where/When: on Saturday, Feb. 12 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Why Go: You get outdoors with a local swan expert to view the birds firsthand. Hot drinks, cookies and a short DNR film on swans will follow.

TEEN NIGHT
Where/When: New Richmond Area Centre on Saturday, Feb. 12 from 5-8 p.m.
Why Go: Sixth and seventh graders will enjoy the social outlet to play games, swim and listen to music with friends.
Price: $5 for both members and nonmembers
AWARD-WINNING POPCORN, NEWBERYS & LOOGS (Lots of Other Good Stories)
Where/When: Hudson Public Library on Tuesdays at 4:10 p.m.
Why Go: Kids in first through fifth grade get to listen to stories while enjoying popcorn.
