A 16-year-old boy from Houton, Wis., died in a crash on I-94 near Stagecoach Trail Thursday evening in Lakeland, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The cause of the outage was a tree limb on a power line between North Hudson and Houlton, according to a spokesperson for Xcel Energy.

Update: Black Bear Breaks into Home on Stageline Road

John Stary, who lives on Stageline Road, called police at about 8:43 p.m. Monday to report that a Black Bear had climbed through a window and was walking around inside his home.

Due to a chance for tornadoes in Southeastern Wisconsin on Thursday, the statewide Tornado Drill has been postponed until Friday, April 19.

Investigators believe an employee at Hudson Golf Course was using a torch to open the top of a sealed, 55-gallon drum that had a small amount of oil in it, causing an accidental explosion.

Early-Morning Blaze Destroys Houlton Home

No one was injured as a result of the fire. The home was unoccupied, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
