- After several years of exploration, UW‒Madison researchers are one step closer to finalizing a rapid self-healing bandage. According to the UW-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health, research that led to the creation of this bandage began back in 2018 at the helm of Xudong Wang, a professor of materials science and engineering at UW-Madison. - A 52-year-old Chicago man, Michael C. Henderson, was sentenced Thursday to seven years in prison for conspiring to distribute cocaine in the Madison area. Henderson was also sentenced to five years of probation and ordered to forfeit nearly $23,000 after pleading guilty in July to a charge of conspiracy to distribute cocaine.
