• Lady Cougars catch state runner-up title (luvernejournal.com) — Abbeville Christian’s softball girls were key to a dramatic tournament run, falling early but roaring back with an 11–1 elimination-game win before ultimately finishing as state runner-up. Strong bats from Horn, Holley, Tompkins, Scrushy, and Stroud powered big innings, while coach Matthew Sipper praised the team’s grit and said they’ll be back chasing a title.
