Filming of 'Live' Will Cause Downtown Street Closures Friday
Two downtown streets will be completely closed Friday during the filming of Aaron Eckhart's movie, "Live."

BIRMINGHAM, AL - Filming for the action thrill film "Live" starring Aaron Eckhart continues in downtown Birmingham Friday, and will involve the complete closure of a couple of roads throughout the day.
The movie, which began filming downtown May 15, will continue through June 15, with multiple road closures as a result.

Here is today's schedule:
5 a.m. – 8 p.m.: Complete Closure of 20th Street North from Morris Avenue to 2nd Avenue North with Intermittent Traffic Control from 1st Avenue South to Morris Avenue.

5 a.m. – 8 p.m.: Complete Closure of 1st Avenue North from 19th Street North to Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd. with Intermittent Traffic Control (ITC) into parking garages.
The Birmingham Police Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the Birmingham Fire Department will all be on site. There will be excessive automatic gunfire as well as pyrotechnics, and a police helicopter will be briefly flying over the set hovering close to buildings.
Cafe Dupont and the Elyton will be open for business. Pedestrians on sidewalks will be escorted in between takes.
