BIRMINGHAM, AL - The city of Hoover continues to be the site of protests surrounding the shooting death of EJ Bradford, although news this past week surfaced that Bradford's lawyers have actually been given access to video footage of the shooting - which has been a main talking point of protesters.
As nightly protests continue, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has still maintained that until the investigation is complete, no evidence will be released to the public.

Video Footage Of Galleria Shooting Has Been Viewed By Lawyers
Amidst nightly protests and national media attention, the Hoover Police Department, City of Hoover and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has been under significant pressure to release video footage of the events leading to the shooting death of EJ Bradford at the Riverchase Galleria Thanksgiving night. Reports reveal that the attorney for Bradford's family, Ben Crump, has now seen footage from the incident.
Beginning January 14, 2019, Jefferson County will have a new sheriff for the first time in two decades. Sheriff-elect Mark Pettway will become Jefferson County's first African-American sheriff, and announced this week the team that will help him transition into his new role.
Employee Charged With Theft After Robbery Hoax
A 19-year-old north Jefferson County woman has been charged with Theft of Property and Making a False Report after an investigation revealed that she made up a story about being robbed of her employer's bank deposit.
A Birmingham man has been arrested and charged with the Thursday afternoon robbery of a Wells Fargo bank branch in downtown Birmingham. Roger Lee, 41, is charged with first-degree robbery.
