Friday, Feb 7

The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess; Red Mountain Theater Company (Cabaret Theatre), 7:30 p.m.: Known worldwide as a masterpiece and “An American Folk Opera,” Porgy and Bess was George Gershwin’s final work for the musical stage. Based on DuBose and Dorothy Heyward’s play Porgy, Porgy and Bess combines elements of jazz, classical, and American folk music.
Adult Game Night; Iron City, Birmingham, 7 p.m.: Games: Pinball, Foosball, Arcades, Air Hockey, Ping Pong, card games, video games and Cup Pong Tournament. $10 entry.

Tori Kelly; Alabama Theatre, Birmingham, 7 p.m.: Enjoy a live performance of American singer, songwriter, actress, and record producer Tori Kelly at the historic Alabama Theatre.
Saturday, Feb. 8
World of Wheels; BJCC North Exhibition Hall, Birmingham, 10 a.m.: The O’Reilly Auto Parts World of Wheels are indoor shows featuring Hot Rods, Race Cars, Antique Cars, Classic Cars, Custom Imports, and Motorcycles presented in creative displays.
Eat Drink Ride Food Tour; Brookwood Village, Mountain Brook, 6 p.m.: Passengers will board a Party Bus and sample small plate bites from 5 restaurants in metro Birmingham during a 4 hour food tour.
Amanda Shires; Saturn, Birmingham, 9 p.m.: Check out Nashville singer/songwriter Amanda Shires live at Saturn in Avondale.
Sunday, Feb. 9
The Rock And Roll Playhouse plays: Music of Grateful Dead for Kids; Saturn, Birmingham, 11:30 a.m.: The Rock and Roll Playhouse band offers its core audience of families with children age ten and under games, movement, stories and an opportunity to rock out in an effort to educate children and explore their creativity.
Plate “Julius Caesar Offering Food and Wine to the Roman People”; Birmingham Museum of Art, Birmingham, 2 p.m.: Master Docent Judy Shaw Cook will lead a discussion on Plate “Julius Caesar Offering Food and Wine to the Roman People” by Antonio Patanazzi in the Italian galleries.
