Alabama boosts economic development with $20M+ for 10 industrial sites (alabamanewscenter.com) — Dothan is set to benefit from over $2.3 million in state-backed funding to upgrade industrial infrastructure at the Dothan-Houston County Airport and Houston County Distribution Park, aimed at attracting new jobs and investment. These awards are part of Alabama’s Growing Alabama Tax Credit program, which is steering more than $20 million to prepare industrial sites statewide.

Dothan Police Searching For Missing Man Robert Martin (wiregrassdailynews.com) — Dothan police are asking residents to help find 45-year-old Robert Keith Martin, who was last seen around 11:30 a.m. May 10 near Academy Sports on Montgomery Highway. He’s described as 5'8", about 135 pounds, with red hair and blue eyes, and was wearing a white T‑shirt, black pants and dark shoes while carrying a suitcase and large black backpack.

Dothan road diet sparks division, controversy at City Hall (wtvy.com) — Downtown drivers and pedestrians are feeling the impact of a “road diet” that reduced Main Street near the courthouse from four lanes to three, and city leaders are now sharply divided over whether it should stay. Dothan commissioners are questioning transparency with ALDOT and city staff, while state officials continue gathering traffic data before deciding if the street will be restored to four lanes.

Final tune up complete, Dothan United dominates in friendly clash with Fort Rucker (wtvy.com) — Dothan United Dragons just crushed Fort Rucker FC 20-0 in a preseason friendly at Rip Hewes Stadium, continuing a blistering 35-0 goal differential to start 2026. The team now turns to league play, hosting Montgomery United FC this Saturday, May 16, with kickoff at 7 p.m. in Dothan.
