• Wildcats hire within; announce Wadsworth as basketball team's newest head coach (wdhn.com) — Enterprise High School has promoted longtime assistant John Wadsworth to head coach of the Wildcats boys basketball program, keeping leadership in-house for local players and families. Wadsworth, who’s been on the Enterprise sidelines since 2020, previously led Opelika to more than 180 wins, nine playoff appearances, and multiple area titles, and now steps in following Rhett Harrelson’s surprise post-season resignation. 
• One dead, another injured after Mother's Day Dale County crash (wtvy.com) — A Sunday night single-vehicle crash on Alabama Highway 92 between Clayhatchee and Enterprise left a Geneva woman dead and the driver hospitalized at Enterprise Medical Center. State troopers say the Jeep left the road, hit a utility pole, and that the passenger was not wearing a seat belt as the investigation continues.
• 3 convicted in Pike, Coffee county crimes (wsfa.com) — A Pike County jury convicted a man for firing multiple shots at an occupied vehicle on White Street in Enterprise, along with two others in separate theft and drug cases. Local law enforcement, including the Enterprise Police Department, were credited for their work, and prosecutors say all three defendants face sentencing after prior felony convictions.
