Birmingham Man Arrested in Connection With Midfield Vehicle Fire (abc3340.com) — A Birmingham man was arrested at his Hoover workplace after Midfield police say he intentionally set a vehicle on fire with someone inside on August 29. The victim escaped unharmed, and Hoover's Specialized Response Team helped make the arrest. The suspect now faces attempted murder and several related charges as Midfield investigators continue seeking additional information.
