Patton communities will soon see expanded job training and career support thanks to a new $3 million federal Jobs Plus grant. The Huntsville Housing Authority plans to connect residents with local employers, tackle barriers to steady work, and help more families share in the city's ongoing economic growth.

Huntsville Utilities scraps plan to install battery at Stringfield Road Substation (waff.com) — Huntsville Utilities has dropped plans to install a large Tesla battery at the Stringfield Road Substation in North Huntsville after residents objected to its proximity to homes. The already purchased battery will be relocated elsewhere in the system, with engineers now evaluating new sites and the utility promising to notify affected communities before moving forward.
