- 32-year-old Steven Michael Wehr is facing first-degree robbery with second-degree kidnapping charges related to a Feb. 8 incident in Montgomery. Investigators say Wehr stole a car at gunpoint and kidnapped the driver of the car on Pine Street near Jackson Hospital. He is facing additional charges due to parole violations. (WSFA12 News)
- A crash on the Interstate 65 and Interstate 85 interchange caused significant delays for Montgomery commuters on Tuesday. The crash occurred on the southbound ramp and involved at least three vehicles according to the camera at the scene. Additional details regarding the collisions have not been released at this time. (WSFA12 News)
- The Alabama Department of Human Resources is awarding ten thousand child care workers with bonuses using federal American Rescue Plan Act funds. The awards total $12.6 million in this round of grants with seven grant opportunities still remaining. To be eligible, child care providers must be operating when they apply and continue to operate for at least another year post-acceptance. (CBS42 News)
