  1. An inmate escaped from his work detail at Red Eagle Work Center in Montgomery on Saturday evening. Kyle Davis, a 49-year-old Black male, had been serving time for murder since 2000. He is described as 5'9" and 190 pounds. Davis had not been located as of Sunday evening, and the Alabama Department of Corrections is asking anyone with information on Davis' whereabouts to contact the department. (Alabama News Network)
  2. The Montgomery Police Department has opened a death investigation into a Wednesday night shooting that occurred in the 100 block of Oak Forest Drive. The department pronounced an adult male victim as deceased after responding to a report of someone having been shot. The department has not released any additional information about the ongoing investigation. (WSFA12 News)
  3. Yesterday, the City of Montgomery's Department of Cultural Affairs held Jazz on the Riverfront, a free community event in Riverfront Park. The event featured live jazz music, multiple food vendors, and a fun atmosphere for attendees to enjoy. (Twitter)
