First, today's weather:

A morning thundershower. High: 72 Low: 53.

Here are the top three stories today in Montgomery:

  1. A 67-year-old woman has been charged with first-degree robbery. Court records show that Deborah Crenshaw and two others loaded grocery bags with merchandise without paying for them and punched a manager when he tried to stop her at Food Outlet, located at 439 Coliseum Blvd., on Mar. 23. Crenshaw was identified from a photo lineup, as well as a security video; it is not known if the other two involved were arrested. (WSFA)
  2. The president of the Montgomery Kennel Club voiced her concerns about a new Montgomery animal ordinance. According to a statement issued by Molly Martin to the Montgomery City Council, she is worried that certain sections of the ordinance are too broad and vague. Read the full statement and get a detailed analysis of the new animal ordinance on the Montgomery Advertiser. (Montgomery Advertiser)
  3. A new Italian-inspired restaurant will be opening in Montgomery's City Federal Bank Building this May. Ravello Ristorante will offer authentic Italian dishes in the 36 Commerce St. location. The restaurant will be able to seat 140 people Monday through Saturday. (Alabama.com)
