  1. A man turned himself into Montgomery police on charges of shooting a man. 25-year-old Kevin Merriweather II has been charged with second-degree assault in the shooting of a man on Mar. 5 on Vaughn Lakes Boulevard; the victim walked into a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Merriweather has been taken to the Montgomery County Detention Facility. (Alabama News Network)
  2. March is Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Awareness Month, and a local woman is sharing her experience with the disease. 31-year-old Montgomery resident Jessica Lynch is a wife, mother, and MS warrior who learned of her condition at the age of 19. "Your life may be different [after an MS diagnosis], but it's not over," Lynch said. "So you may have to make adjustments, but you can still live a fulfilling life." (WSFA 12)
  3. A Montgomery tax preparer has been sentenced after pleading guilty to helping prepare false income tax returns. 44-year-old Alisaya Danita Thompson-Dixon will serve three years in prison, another year of supervised release, and fines and restitution fees totaling over $121,000. Thompson-Dixon was indicted by a grand jury in 2021 for assisting in filing false returns through her business, Magic Tax Service, between 2015 and 2017. (WSFA 12)
