Here are the top three stories in Montgomery today:
- The Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce hosted Senator Tommy Tuberville at its Washington Brief to speak on key topics Montgomery residents are concerned about. The Senator spoke about Ukraine's tensions with Russia, Chinese threats, and the current economy of the United States. According to Senator Tuberville, his biggest priority is getting Americans back to work while keeping schools open. (Spot On Alabama)
- The Montgomery Hyundai Plant is looking to fill roughly 300 open positions. The positions are for work on the assembly line producing Hyundai vehicles. The plant is holding a job fair on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at the training center located at 900 Hyundai Boulevard. Starting pay is between $16.62 and $25.85 an hour. (Alabama News Network)
- State lawmakers in Montgomery advanced a transgender bathroom ban bill for students. The bill was approved by the full Alabama House of Representatives on a 74-24 vote. The bill would ban students from using facilities that coordinate with their current gender identity. The bill will now move to the full Alabama Senate for debate and vote. (News 19)
