• Northeast Alabama now JUCO softball national champions (thebamabuzz.com) — Northeast Alabama Community College in Rainsville has rocketed from no softball program to National Junior College Athletic Association Division I champions in just two years. The Mustangs capped a 56-4 season with a perfect 5-0 run through the World Series, including a 7-3 title win over Temple College, making NACC one of only two ACCC schools ever to claim the national crown.
