Clay Getting New Elementary School In 2020

Bryant Park Elementary School in Clay is expected to be completed by spring of 2020.

CLAY, AL - The city of Clay is expected to get a new elementary school by the spring of 2020, according to reports. The K-5 school, which will be named Bryant Park Elementary, will be located behind Bryant Park and the Boys and Girls Club off Old Springville Road.

The Trussville Tribune reported that the new school is expected to reduce the numbers of students at Clay Elementary and Chalkville Elementary, as well as pull Grayson Valley students out of Pinson city schools.

The new school is part of a $230 million Jefferson County School Board project that will affect a total of 16 schools, including seven new schools and nine school renovations.
