Magnolia Elementary School Gets New Principal
With the new school year just weeks away, Magnolia Elementary School has named a new principal.

TRUSSVILLE, AL - As the first day of school approaches, systems are finalizing their personnel rosters, and at Trussville's Magnolia Elementary School, a vital position has been filled in time to begin the 2018-19 school year as a new principal has been named for the school. The new leader at Magnolia is not a new face to Trussville, however.
According to a report by the Trussville Tribune, Trussville City Schools announced Tuesday afternoon that Hewitt-Trussville High School assistant principal Jennifer Abney will take over the helm at Magnolia. Abney also taught at HTHS and Clay-Chalkville High School before becoming assistant principal at HTHS.
Abney holds a Master’s in Instructional Leadership from Samford University, a Bachelor of Science in Physical education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She was a Collegiate Athlete at LaGrange College participating in Volleyball and Softball and she has coached volleyball, basketball, and softball.
