Man Accused Of Shooting At Deputies Charged With Attempted Murder

A man suspected of shooting at Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies near Center Point has been arrested and charged.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A search that began four days ago for a man suspected of shooting at Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies has ended in an arrest. Larence Ladel Quinn, 30 was taken into custody Wednesday night and is charged with four counts of attempted murder.

Deputy Chief David Agee of the JCSO said at about 2:45 p.m. Sunday a person shot at deputies at Valley Brook apartments on Gallant Drive. Deputies were reportedly investigating a theft and had several suspects detained in two vehicles.

Quinn was taken into custody without incident just after 4 p.m. Wednesday. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail about 8 p.m. and is held on $1 million bond.
