Trussville Police Investigating Assault At High School

TRUSSVILLE, AL - The Trussville Police Department is looking into an alleged assault at Hewitt-Trussville High School on February 14. The assault was filmed via mobile phone and posted tp social media, according to reports, which prompted the investigation.

According to the Trussville Tribune, the video circulating on social media shows a female student walking down the hallway at HTHS and approaching a second female student at her locker and then grabbing the victim’s hair from behind and throwing her to the floor before punching her.

Authorities are recommending assault charges in the third degree, which is assault with intent to cause harm.
