ALDOT Cautions Of Delays On Highway 82 Thursday For Jack Warner Pkwy. Bridge Inspection

ALDOT on Wednesday announced plans to temporarily close lanes of US Highway 82 beneath Jack Warner Parkway.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Alabama Department of Transportation on Wednesday announced plans to temporarily close lanes of US Highway 82 beneath the Jack Warner Parkway Bridge on Thursday for a routine bridge inspection.

ALDOT says the westbound right lane and ramp will be closed from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Thursday, with the bridge crew re-opening the ramp and continuing its inspection toward the left lane. As part of the temporary closure, ALDOT expects the westbound portion to fully open at approximately noon.

ALDOT said the the Jack Warner Parkway ramp toward Holt will remain closed until the inspection is finished, while the the Jack Warner Parkway ramp toward the University of Alabama will remain open throughout the inspection.

The bridge crew will then re-open the left lane and continue its inspection toward the right lane.

ALDOT expects the eastbound portion to fully open at approximately 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
