About Brave Hearts, Strong Arms
After decades of locker-room talks, living-room conversations, and boardroom counsel, Jerry has finally put it all on paper. Brave Hearts, Strong Arms: Locker Room Talks for the Only Game That Matters is now available — and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you.
Jerry played football at The University of Alabama under Coach Paul W. Bryant, and later served as chaplain of the Washington Redskins under Hall of Fame head coach Joe Gibbs. In the 40+ years since, he’s walked with athletes, generals, executives, journalists, pastors, and everyday men — all asking the same questions about identity, courage, and what it really means to follow Jesus.
Brave Hearts, Strong Arms is the book his friends have been asking him to write for decades. It’s 46 short chapters, organized into 11 parts, each one written to be read the way Jerry has always taught: one locker-room talk at a time.
This isn’t a book of easy answers. Jerry blends the grit of the game with the truth of Scripture to speak honestly to men about showing up, staying in the fight, and learning to rely on God as the ultimate Coach — whether you’re a husband, father, friend, teammate, or leader.
