  1. The No. 3 Alabama Crimson Tide men's basketball team (21-3, 11-0 SEC) pulled out to an early lead and poured it on for the entire game in a 97-69 win over the Florida Gators (13-11, 6-5 SEC) Wednesday night in Coleman Coliseum. (Tuscaloosa Patch)
  2. A suspect is behind bars without bond after prompting a high-speed police chase that ended in a crash and officer-involved shooting on Veterans Memorial Parkway early Wednesday morning. (Tuscaloosa Patch)
  3. Students at Hillcrest High School staged a walkout on Wednesday reportedly after they were told to censor parts of a Black History Month program relating to slavery and civil rights. Following the walkout, students also expressed their demands of the county school system, while threatening to rally if their concerns are not considered. (Tuscaloosa Patch)
