Hueytown Man Charged With Murder After Pedestrian Killed In Tuscaloosa County
A Hueytown man is behind bars in Tuscaloosa and accused of striking and killing a pedestrian as they walked along the side of Interstate 59.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has charged a Hueytown man with murder after a striking and killing a pedestrian in April who was walking along the side of Interstate 59 near McCalla.

Micah Anderson, 28, was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with improper lane usage, driving while revoked and possession/receipt of controlled substance.

Anderson also stands accused in the death of 40-year-old West Blocton resident Lannie D. Hyde, as Patch previously reported, who was struck by the 2006 Ford Focus driven by Anderson just before noon on April 15.
Anderson remains in the Tuscaloosa County Jail as of the publication of this update, with his bond set at $150,000 for the murder charge and his total bond set at $160,000.
