Lady Bucs Win Eighth Straight ACCC Title To Snag NJCAA Tournament Bid

No. 9 seed Shelton State will take on No. 24 seed Monroe College ​on Wednesday, March 22 at noon in the NJCAA Women's Basketball Tournament.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Shelton State Community College women's basketball team on Friday won topped Wallace State Community College - Hanceville, 63-50, to win its eighth consecutive Alabama Community College Conference title and its 18th in program history.

The win improved the Lady Bucs to a 30-3 record on the year, which was good enough to grab a No. 9 seed in the NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament in Lubbock, Texas later this month.

Anniston native Asia Barclay logged 38 minutes in a stellar performance during the conference title game, posting a double-double with 24 points and an eye-popping 15 rebounds.
