One Injured In Northport Shooting Monday Afternoon
The Northport Police Department says one person was injured in a shooting Monday afternoon in the 200 block of 30th Avenue.

NORTHPORT, AL — The Northport Police Department says one person was injured in a shooting Monday afternoon in the 200 block of 30th Avenue.

Assistant Chief Keith Carpenter told Patch one person sustained injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening and has been transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

The initial call of the shooting came in sometime in the last half hour prior to the publication of this story.
Carpenter went on to say that no suspects are in custody at this time and investigators are also in the vicinity of the Northport Farmers Market processing part of the scene.

NPD is being assisted in the investigation by the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office and investigators with the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit are at the scene.
