TUSCALOOSA, AL — Police say one person was injured Wednesday morning in a shooting in Temerson Square in downtown Tuscaloosa.

Captain Marty Sellers of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit said the Tuscaloosa Police Department and VCU investigators are currently on the scene of the shooting, which occurred at 4th Street and involved two female Tuscaloosa County residents.

Sellers said the two women got into a physical altercation in a bar, prompting one woman to leave.
However, as she did, the other woman involved in the fight allegedly shot the car, causing injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

The case remains under active investigation.
This marks the second shooting this week for Tuscaloosa County,as Patch previously reported, following a 19-year-old man being shot Monday as he was driving on Interstate 20/59.
