Alameda Co. Coroner IDs Man Killed in 57th Ave. Crash

The victim's vehicle collided with a parked big-rig on Sunday.

A man who died early Sunday morning when the vehicle he was in crashed into a parked big-rig in Oakland has been identified by the Alameda County coroner’s bureau as 23-year-old Oscar Gonzalez Martinez of San Francisco.

The first report of the crash came in 1:21 a.m. in the 1300 block of 57th Avenue. The vehicle went underneath the trailer of the big-rig, according to police. Martinez died at the scene.

A woman also inside the vehicle was injured. She was taken to a hospital, police said.
