Family Cycling Workshop ON Rain or Shine

The family that rides together thrives together!

Although we've been rained out twice now, we'll be there  rain or shine.  A little bit of sprinkles won't scare us away and it's probably a good idea to get your kids outside to burn off a little energy anyway!  If we get surprised by a giant storm of heavy rain, we'll cancel, but otherwise we'll be there so please join us.

Safe road bicycling takes a lot more than balance, a helmet and a good attitude. Join the BikeAlameda and East Bay Bicycle Coalition safety instructors for a day of fun games, safety drills, skills building, and a neighborhood ride.

This workshop is for kids able to ride a bike and who are ready to ride on the roadways with their parents. Parents and kids must attend together and should bring their own bikes. Each child receives a free red blinky light for participating!

Please dress in layers for warmth and bring a rain coat in case it sprinkles on us a little.  We'll provide hot coffee, juice, bagels and fruit.  Put on the helmets, pump up the tires and come out for some fresh air, good bike games that teach bike control and a short ride! Meet us at Otis school at 9am in the back of the school on the blacktop.
