Fire Crews Investigate Report of Gas Leak at Alameda Apartment Complex
BREAKING: Residents are asked to avoid the area.

ALAMEDA, CA — Residents are asked to avoid the 700 block of Central Avenue this morning, police officials said. A possible gas leak was reported in the area at 10:28 a.m., according to the Pulespoint phone application.
As of about 11:30 a.m., PG&E crews are on scene and working to get the leak shut off. While inside, crew members found a small amount of an unknown substance and asked for the fire department's hazardous materials team to assist, Capt. Jim Colburn said.
Alameda Fire officials have not yet been reached for comment. No other information was available.
