
Firefighters extinguished a fire Sunday night that burned the attic of a home in Alameda.
Firefighters responded at 11:26 p.m. to reports of smoke coming from a single-story house on Garden Road in the Bay Farm Island neighborhood, fire officials said.
When firefighters arrived, they quickly realized the fire was coming from the attic of the house, fire officials said.

Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire by 11:48 p.m.
According to fire officials, damage caused by the fire was confined to the attic and the roof over one room of the home.

No injuries were reported and the occupants were able to return to the residence, fire officials said.
Investigators are working to determine a cause for the blaze, according to fire officials.
