• PG&E warns of possible power shutoffs in parts of Bay Area (nbcbayarea.com) — PG&E is warning that some customers in rural parts of Alameda County near the Altamont Pass could lose power from Friday afternoon through midday Sunday because of hot, dry and gusty fire-weather conditions. Only about 400 Bay Area customers, including those in unincorporated Alameda County, are expected to be affected, but residents in these areas should prepare for possible outages and plan around the extended shutoff window.
