Pride of Madeira In Full Bloom: Photos Of The Day

ALAMEDA, CA — This beautiful purple flower, called Pride of Madeira, is currently in full bloom. Gary Hoffer snapped the photos, "near Harbor Bay Ferry terminal, Bay Farm Island, Alameda... just south of the ferry terminal on the walking and bike path between the terminal and the Hester-McGuire office building" if you'd like to take a walk this weekend.
