Robbery Suspect Found Hiding Under Alameda Home Had Multiple Pieces of Stolen Jewelry: Police

Police said the suspect kicked in a door to get into a home after leading officers on a foot pursuit.

ALAMEDA, CA — A man found hiding in a crawl space underneath an Alameda home was in possession of jewelry stolen during armed robberies, police officials said. According to police officials. the alleged armed robbery involving a firearm occurred on an AC Transit bus on Blanding Avenue in Alameda Sunday.

The suspect led officers on a foot pursuit through yards, eventually kicking in a door to get into a home.

“Officer Miele found the suspect located in a crawl space underneath a home,” police officials said. “The suspect was arrested and multiple pieces of jewelry from suspected robberies were recovered.”

Police officials said a loaded gun was found nearby. Police did not release the suspect's name.
